Maya has always been very talented when it comes to learning languages.
Her first baby babbles were in all three languages: English, German and Russian.Over the last year (she is two and a half now) her English has become excellent. I guess it is the easiest language out of the three, plus it is spoken at home all the time.
Since I often switch back and forth from English to Russian, Maya is perfectly aware that I speak both.
So, the other evening when we were reading some Russian books, she asks me in English where her yogurt is. I answer in Russian: “твой йогурт в холодильнике.” She goes: “Mama, what did you just say? “and starts laughing…I repeat, dada says: “Your yogurt is in the fridge.” Mama says: “твой йогурт в холодильнике.” She looks at me with a big smile on her face and says, but mama also says: “Your yogurt is in the fridge.”
What a cheeky little monkey our baby is.

I decided to make a short post about baba’s visit with us. Since all Maya does is talk about the fun time they had together and constantly asks us when baba is coming back. The two of them have a very special relationship and seem to really enjoy hanging out with each other.

Despite of the bad weather forecast we decided to go to Prater Amusement Park with Noah, Maya’s friend and his mommy Sara.
We haven’t been to Prater for ages. It really got cleaned up a lot and had a lot more rides than we could remember.
The place offers tons of entertainment for children and adults of all ages.Maya has never been to Prater and we thought it would be a nice idea to introduce her to the fun place in Vienna. Noah was already a frequent visitor to the park and he was showing Maya around. The two of them were just more than cute.

We haven’t posted for a while as we got very busy with work and household after our wonderful vacation in Kiev. But I still figured it is better to write now and never.
Our 10 day trip to Kiev was really nice, especially for our little Maya as my mom and dad really spoiled her rotten.
The minute we arrived, dada decided to test out Maya’s new bear chair:
