It was one of those girlie nights out dedicated to the upcoming wedding of Sabine and Gerhard, our neighbors.
Manuela and Simone organized it in the best possible way.
All the women (except babies) of Endresstrasse 54 attended and left their men to babysit. It was really a lot of fun.
Manuela and Simone requested Sabine to play and sing “All you need is love” and came up with lots of funny games.
The funniest thing was when men at the “Steinklammer“- heuriger we went to, had to sign Sabine’s T-shirt. No one dared to sign the front of the t-shirt as they were all guarded by their wives. Oh well, their loss.
Around 11:30 pm we headed home and Evelyne invited us for a drink to her cosy terrace. It was nice to see her apartment and how she decorated it.
It was a really perfect evening and Sabine got plenty of encouragement for her upcoming wedding this Friday.

So we went for our 4-D Ultrasound today, and the doctor (nearly) confirmed what the last doctor guessed last time. Seems that no one can really say for sure, but it looks like it’s going to be a girl! They like to use the excuse that the baby always has its legs together (which is more than you can say for some girls), but still, from the shots that we saw, it seems to be true. In any case, we got a really nice video and pictures, where you can see all the features of the face pretty well. I think it got Svitlana’s nose, which is probably a good thing, but we’ll see when it comes out.

Hot summer days at the Endresstrasse are also being spent with lots of splish and splash at our neighbor’s garden. This past weekend we were invited to Gerhard and Sabine’s pool-opening party. They have an identical apartment like ours in stiege 3 (the house behind ours).
Gerhard and Sabine worked really hard on this pool and now it was time to collect the fruits of their labors. Since the water in the pool warmed up only to 16°C, it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. But there were some brave people among us and whether it was voluntarily or not, many people got to enjoy a swim.
Gerhard and Sabine announced about their upcoming wedding in Salzburg. We’d like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best on their special day.
It really makes me happy that we have such nice neighbors. It is rare when one has such a circle of warm people who care about each other. On top of people being nice in our house, we also have lots of little/big babies, which makes it even better to start a family here.
I am sure our baby will have lots of fun making friends in our neighborhood.
